Dance Doctors was officially started in July of 2008. We first entered the dance scene with group classes in our community - a very simple beginning! After the popularity of our style of teaching grew, it was time for a permanent location for teaching.
We found a small gym called "West Valley Sport and Dance Academy" and fell in love with it. We could only teach lessons a few days a week and host parties and salsa classes on Saturdays. But that was plenty of time to start our company. After six short months, we had outgrown that location and it was time to grow into something of our very own.
In March of 2009, we had our first Grand Opening of Dance Doctors - Ballroom and Latin Academy! It was only about 1500 sq ft total, however it was enough space for what we needed. Our group classes became popular and we hired more teachers, everything was moving along quite nicely. In mid-May our group class attendance was reaching the maximum capacity of our studio!
It was time to expand again, and by September 1st we were hosting our second Grand Opening of what is now the fabulous Dance Doctors Surprise! The spaced we leased was originally a bank, so we had to do a little remodeling before it was ready. After breaking down office walls, tearing up rolls of carpet, throwing away literally tons of teller stands, removing a vault (currently the Dance Shoppe), and laying over 2000sqft of beautiful Dark Oak Floating Floor, it was ready for action.

Update 4/17/11:
We have now decided to expand Dance Doctors Surprise into the most exciting social dance hall in the west valley. We are tearing down walls, laying more floor, adding booths, customs seats, and tables for everyone to have a space to be during our awesome social dances. A night out dancing has never been more fun and looked so great. Stop by today to see the exciting changes.
We are celebrating the 1st year anniversary of Dance Doctors Gilbert as well. This beautiful studio is located 60 miles from our home base in Surprise, Arizona and it looks like people everywhere love to dance at Dance Doctors.
